Nothing like a little irony. My buddy Stephen had his car broken into yesterday. We found this “Theft Deterrent System” sticker amongst the shattered glass.

A healthy dose of irony. My buddy Stephen had his car broken into yesterday…we found this Theft Prevention Sticker amongst the broken glass.

There are times, so very late at night when the world outside is too dark and I’m nervous to approach the curtains for fear that I might find nothingness has surrounded me. On nights such as those, sometimes it’s helpful to be reminded that there’s true brilliance out in the world and that it’s still safe to shine on.

So beardy.

So beardy.

This is called Kapton tape. It’s made out of a polyimide film, with a silicone backing. It can withstand temperatures of over 752 °F and it’s actually used in space suits and the shuttle. I bought a roll for $9 to fix a problem in a $1200 laptop. What a world we live in, hmm? The things we can accomplish when we use logic, reason and science to identify a problem, develop a solution and eventually provide that solution to a greater part of the species. All in just the power of tape.
